Support 4 Sight is delighted to announce that they have been awarded a grant from the Postcode Places Trust to enable them to develop their volunteer led services.

Sharon Schaffer, CEO said, “We are extremely grateful to the Postcode Places Trust, and all the people who play the People’s Postcode Lottery. This will enable us to grow existing, and instigate new, services that blind and partially sighted people have told us they need and want, following the effects of the pandemic.”

Plans are in place to extend an array of services including telephone befriending, home befriending, IT support, social trips as well as new activities such as supper clubs, and maybe even a choir.

Sue King, Volunteer Coordinator said, “Our volunteers are the backbone of Support 4 Sight. We are looking forward to welcoming new people and new activities. Volunteering is core to our work, enabling peer support and building a strong sight loss community to ensure that no one needs to face sight loss unsupported.
