Often our members live alone or feel isolated and would simply like befriending, whilst others require more practical assistance. Our staff (who are all DBS checked) provide advice and demonstrations of equipment designed to help with daily living tasks such as; magnification to help reading post, improving lighting which is so very important and kitchen issues to name a few.
Such tasks can seem impossible for someone who is visually impaired and the chance to get the advice, see and try the equipment is invaluable.
Equipment is sourced by Support 4 Sight at extremely competitive prices as we do not want people to make costly mistakes. All equipment has been trialled by visually impaired people to guarantee that it is the most effective we can find.
We can refer onto other agencies (for example Hearing Help or to Essex Cares) to ensure that you receive the support that is needed to maintain your independence.
The areas we cover are in West and Mid Essex and also the borders of Hertfordshire.
