Whether you have lived with sight loss long term or have recently lost your vision, it can be helpful to talk through your feelings. Especially with someone else who has sight loss.
You may experience a range of emotions, from sadness to anger and frustration.
If you are supporting a person with sight loss, you may also experience these feelings and need someone to talk to.
At Support 4 Sight we welcome you to contact us and offer time and space to talk through your feelings and provide reassurance and information about how to cope.
We are able to offer one to one support at our centres, on home visits, via email or text. Our support is there for you for as long as you need us.
We also provide a telephone support service and a monthly peer group support session.
There are other organisations who may be able to help you.Mind is an organisation who we work closely with, see your local service. The RNIB have a Sight Loss Counselling Service. Call their Helpline on 0303 123 9999 from Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
