Sight Support in Essex and West Essex
Support 4 Sight is proud to serve individuals and families across Essex and West Essex, providing dedicated support to those living with sight loss. Our mission is to empower people to lead independent, fulfilling lives while fostering a compassionate and inclusive community.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of services tailored to meet the needs of those with visual impairments:
- Practical Support: From guidance on getting out and about to using assistive technology, we help individuals adapt to their changing vision.
- Emotional Well-being: Our befriending and peer support groups provide a safe space to share experiences and find comfort in a supportive community.
- Daily Living Assistance: Learn practical skills for managing household tasks and other daily activities to maintain independence.
- Resources and Information: Access information on eye conditions and eye health, government benefits, and local services designed to assist those with sight loss.
- Support 4 Employment: We offer advice, training, and resources to help individuals with sight loss find and/or stay in work.
Community Outreach
In Essex and West Essex, we work closely with local communities to raise awareness about sight loss and promote eye health. Our outreach efforts include:
- Workshops and Events: Educational sessions on eye health, accessibility, and living with visual impairments.
- Advocacy Campaigns: Raising awareness about the importance of regular eye exams and early detection of conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
- Family and Caregiver Support: Providing resources and advice to help loved ones support individuals with sight loss effectively.
