Support 4 Sight are proud to collaborate with Chelmsford’s celebrated independent restaurant A Canteen by hosting a ‘Dining in the Dark’ experience to raise awareness and funds.
Diners will have the opportunity to be blindfolded throughout the whole of the evening whilst enjoying an incredible 3 course meal put together specially for this unique event.
We will also be giving out prizes on the night for those who wants to take part in buying raffle tickets which will be offered at the event. One prize is an Easter hamper full of goodies, and a special prize given by Lush for an incredible after store hours pampering experience at their Chelmsford branch.
Heighten your senses when context is removed away from you and enjoy a different experience in dining to kick start your Easter weekend.
Support 4 Sight is an Essex based charity and based in Chelmsford, Support 4 Sight challenge the attitudes and perception of how the public perceive what sight loss is. They are there to help accommodate and facilitate for anyone who suffers with partial or full visual impairment to give them the independence they badly deserve. The Essex based charity provide support to those affected by sight-loss, their families and carers in Essex. Support 4 Sight provides information, advice and emotional support at hospital help desks and their dedicated resource centres. Trained staff provide community-based home visits where support and advice is given on equipment and services available such as Support 4 Sight’s monthly coffee mornings in Chelmsford, Harlow, Great Dunmow, Braintree and Epping.
Sight loss is an incredibly isolating experience and we as a charity are there to make sure they are not going through this life changing ordeal on their own, and we are incredibly proud to have A Canteen get behind us to help support the charity by raising awareness.
