The keep The Light On Bikeathon is being held at our office base in Chelmsford, 17 Cottage Place, CM1 1NL.
This ambitious event will run from 10am Friday 6 December to 4pm Saturday 7 December. We shall be cycling on a static bike to create enough energy to keep a light bulb lit for a full 30 hours!
Alongside the bike we will be holding an exhibition of work that has been created by vision impaired people. Sue King, our Service and Volunteer Manager says, “This not only celebrates the wealth of creativity within our community but demonstrates that sight loss does not define a person’s ability to achieve their goals and reach their full potential. This will be a fitting finale for a charity that has, for the past 30 years, been a light in the dark for people living with and coming to terms with sight loss.”
Please join us to keep that light shining brightly. We welcome support in whatever way you can, for whatever length of time you can; a stint on the bike, morale support, raise a glass.
