Colin joined us in 2023

I have worked for national sight loss organisations for over 15 years. I worked for Action for Blind People as a welfare rights officer and supported blind and partially sighted people to find sustainable employment. I currently work for the Macular Society where I have developed and run the Society’s Working Age and Young Peoples’ Service.

I live with Stargardt Disease and am registered as SSI. I feel that my lived experience gives me a great insight in how to develop services for blind and partially sighted people. The services I set up are what people with sight loss tell me they want.

I became a trustee for Support 4 Sight so I can use my skills and knowledge of the sector and the people in it to assist the charity in creating and developing services for the people of Essex.
