Tommy Tellam

My name is Thomas Tellam, and I’m really excited to be joining Support 4 Sight as an Office and Events Coordinator. I’m looking forward to supporting the charity’s mission and contributing to the fantastic work being done here.

A little about me: I was born blind in my right eye and have gradually been losing sight in my left, so I know first-hand the daily challenges that sight loss can bring. But I also believe in living life to the fullest and making the most of every opportunity. That’s why I’m passionate about being part of an organisation that provides such vital support and community for people with visual impairments.

This role is a brand-new challenge for me, and while I haven’t worked in this area before, I’m eager to put my creativity and organisational skills to good use. I want to help ensure that our events are engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.

What excites me most is the chance to connect with people and help create experiences that truly make a difference. I hope to bring energy and enthusiasm to the role while also learning from the amazing staff, volunteers, and members at Support 4 Sight.

I feel proud to be starting this journey and look forward to helping empower and support people living with sight loss — just as I have been supported myself.
