‘Day in the life of’

I am the Funding and Technology Coordinator for Support 4 Sight. My role can be quite varied. Here is a bit of a look at some of the things I do.

• Tech Support – While I quite often support other staff with their queries, I also help members of Support 4 Sight when it comes to questions about technology. If you have trouble using a PC, laptop, mobile or tablet because of your sight loss, please get in touch as we may be able to help you.
• Uttlesford Talking News – For those of you that receive this, it is my voice that you hear! Once a week I record items from local newspapers, pop the recording onto a USB stick and post it out to subscribers using ‘Articles for the Blind’ wallets. After listening, the USB sticks are sent back to the office ready for the following week.
• Takeley Coffee Morning – Once a month, our social group in Takeley meets up for a coffee and chat. We’d love for you to come and join us! Details can be found on page 6.
• Reporting – I can often be found putting spreadsheets of information together to show the impact of our services to funders, members and to help us review and build services. This is why your feedback means so much to us.
