Lee Rolfe is vision impaired and loves to do charity work for his chosen charity Support 4 Sight.

Lee is a remarkable man whose enthusiasm and imagination has in the past raised considerable funds for the charities he cherishes and that offer him much valued support. A few years ago, he raised money for Support 4 Sight through an assisted driving challenge and last year he did a half marathon tandem ride round Melbourne Athletics track in Chelmsford.

We all know a great goalkeeper can save penalties, but can he save them blindfolded?!

The challenge is for Lee to score 20 penalties in 30 minutes against a blindfolded professional goalie.

Lee has a football with bells inside, which enables blind and partially sighted footballers to locate the ball through their auditory senses.

Liz Sandwell, Outreach and Communications coordinator said “We are so excited for this amazing challenge to be happening in 2025. I can’t wait to be at the event to cheer Lee on with his penalties. Keep an eye out on our social media and website for all the action from the day.”

The Support 4 Sight Goalkeeper Football Challenge will be held at Cambridge United’s training ground, Bentley Road, CB2 8AW on the 23rd of January between 12.00PM and 1.00PM.
