Sarah Lawrence has now completed her Wren Churches challenge, as part of the Quirky 30 Anniversary fundraising campaign at Support 4 Sight.

Sarah and her husband, Andrew, who has been the man behind the camera and supporting Sarah, have been making their way round to visit the Wren Churches in London. Sarah started at St Paul’s Cathedral, which is regarded as Wren’s masterpiece, and bought a book to find out the more unknown churches only to find there are at least 52 in London alone! Christopher Wren was rather prolific, rebuilding churches in the City of London after the 1666 Great Fire.

The have been out in glorious sunshine and soggy rain really enjoying the challenge and exploring London, even if near the end they were finding it hard to find them, but nothing was stopping them from hunting them down.

Sarah has been visually impaired since birth but was only diagnosed at 47 when having eye tests at Moorfields. ‘My life hasn’t been disrupted, but small changes have been introduced. Support 4 Sight has been there for me since the registration of my diagnosis, and I need to show my gratitude.’

Liz Sandwell, Outreach and Communications coordinator ‘This has been such a wonderful idea to fundraise for the Quirky 30. Its been amazing to see Sarah tick off each of the churches on the Wren list and to see if anyone could guess the locations of them. We are grateful for them both taking the time to do this for Support 4 Sight.’ #Support4Sight #SightLoss #Quirky30
