A general election will take place on Thursday 4 July.
You must have registered to vote to be able to vote in this election. If you’re not registered, you have until 11.59pm on 18 June to register.
If you can’t make polling day, you can apply for:
- a postal vote by 5pm on Wednesday 19 June
- a proxy vote by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June
Don’t forget, you will also need ID to vote in this election.
You must use an original version of your ID and not a photocopy or an image on your mobile phone.
Accepted forms of ID include a passport, driving licence, Blue Badge, certain concessionary travel cards, and certain national identity cards. See the Electoral Commission website to see accepted forms of photo ID.
If you do not have suitable ID, you can apply for free Voter Authority Certificate by 5pm on Wednesday 26 June.
