We were pleased to welcome Clair Banks to our Chelmsford Centre to present us with a donation from the from Provide Community trust. This donation will make a real difference to Support 4 Sight. In consultations with our members last year, as we began the long journey out of Covid, the overwhelming request was for social activities, to build back from the isolation that impacted particularly heavily on blind and partially sighted people. This award will support the programme of activities and outings we have put in place to meet this need, enabling our members to get together both face-to-face and online, share new experiences and provide vital peer support.
We were delighted that Clair visited us during our Volunteer Tea in celebration of Volunteering Week, and was able to see first-hand the camaraderie in action as staff and members served afternoon tea to our wonderful volunteers.
