You Can Help
It is estimated that over 2000 people in Uttlesford suffer from severe visual impairment. Here are some of the ways in which you can help them maintain an independent lifestyle.
Giving Money
Donations of money are always welcome. There are a couple of ways you can make a donation (you will need Adobe's Acrobat Reader to view pdf files):
- Donate by post (pdf file)
- Donate by standing order (pdf file)

If you are a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your donation by 28% - and it doesn't cost you a penny! Gift Aid forms are attached to the above forms.
Back to topGiving Goods
If you have inherited specialist equipment from a visually impaired person or have some yourself that you no longer use, please give it to Support 4 Sight who can make sure that it is put to good use. Similarly put a note with your will about your equipment to avoid it being dumped in house clearance.
Other good quality "jumble-sale" items can be sold at our periodic car boot sales.
Back to topWhere there's a will
Leaving something to Support 4 Sight is one of the simplest ways of benefiting visually impaired people in the long term. You can either ask your solicitor to add a codicil to your current will or draw one up for you if you have not made one. Do you know that without a will things you leave behind may not go to the people you want to have them? Wills need not be expensive and not leaving one can create headaches for your loved ones. We can advise on local solicitors should you wish.
A versatile alternative is to open a CAF Legacy Account and make a bequest to the Charities Aid Foundation in your will. You can then draw up a CAF letter of wishes, naming the charities that you wish to benefit. You can then change the names of charity beneficiaries and their allocation as often as you like without incurring and additionally legal charges. Ask us for details.
Back to topSaying it without flowers
If you or a deceased relative are visually impaired you can ask the funeral director to channel donations to Support 4 Sight as an alternative or addition to flowers or wreaths
