This year we have had a staggering 6,197 people within our community contact and visit us regarding sight loss. This could be someone like our service user Rob, seeking help and guidance over his recent diagnosis of Glaucoma or even Stacey who came to us seeking support as she was not sure how to cope with her husband’s recent sight loss, or James who needs support to continue his job after an accident left him blind.
Each day more and more people are coming to us and with the NHS being stretched to capacity it falls on local charities like us to step in and support people who really need our help. We are also in great need of help our self to be able to keep essential services running, please help us to support local people in your community with a vision impairment to live their life as independently as possible by donating to a worthy cause.
Whatever you can give, give the gift of “Being a light in the dark”. Support us in our Christmas appeal.
